Nepal earthquake

The Nepal earthquake of 2015, was one of the most devastating earthquake that struck near the city of Kathmandu in central Nepal on April 25, 2015. An estimate of 9,000 people were killed, thousands more were injured and more than 600,000 structures in Kathmandu and other towns in Nepal were either damaged or destroyed. As part of KP1M Response Team for local and international disaster relieve, a team from SP Care Group consisting of Dr. Prakash, Dr Harry, MA Mohan and 2 staff nurses were among the crew of 34 humanitarian relieve team.

We were deployed to the town of Dhulikhel. There we served the people at the University Hospital Katmandu and a nearby village which was situated up on a hill called Phalate. We assisted the Emergency Department of Hospital Dhulikhel throughout our stay dealing with various injury cases. The trip was meaningful and fulfilling as we managed to help many in need.
